Sounds I love #1

Posted in The Sounds by carrick on October 19, 2008

The tweaking of an orchestra during rehearsals. Particularly, the string section. Moments of silence, occasional coughing…followed by a shuddering of the same note reverberating across the universe. Smashingly lovely.

In other news, expect posts for the next few weeks to come at random, like old aunties who try and sell you tissue paper whilst you just stuffed your mouth with food and you can’t say “donch want” (because your mouth is full) and have to rely on cannot-make-it hand signals that end up being misinterpreted and you’re left buying 3 packets for $6…Anyway, we’re in the final throes of the school semester. That means project deadlines, and last minute exam prepping. That also means, huge amounts of procrastination until the final 2 hours and you go “No shit! Where did all the time go?”

Oh yes. Somehow, by sheer coincidence (slash) will of the gods (slash) random quantum particle mechanics, I found myself waving goodbye to the Chirpiest Girl on the Planet (with a brick-in-a-bag on her hands) and the Ever Confused Mister Smart from my class, as they descended onto the MRT grid. She, wearing her floral printed dress which clung to the passing incense breezes; he, wearing his trademarked tight jeans and white bootlaced shoes.

“Someday, I shall write a story about this,” I say to no one in particular. I kick off some roadside pebbles, and meandered my way home. Exit Field
